Highly trained dyslexia therapist works one-on-one with students identified with dyslexia or with parents who would like to work with their own children.
Planning and organization of materials for reading intervention and remediation of spelling and reading fluency and comprehension problems.
Our services are provided by a Certified Academic Language Therapist with over 11 years of experience working with students from 6 years to early adulthood. Therapy is based on Orton-Gillingham curriculum.
Our therapy provides multi-sensory, sequential, research-based Orton-Gillingham sessions either 3 or 4 days per week. Less frequent session can provide effective intervention for problems with word-attack, phonological awareness, vocabulary, spelling and reading comprehension.
It is our belief that dedicated parents, who are willing to consistently work with their dyslexic or struggling students, can make a significant difference in the intervention process. For this reason we are willing to work with parents to enable them to help their own child with reading, writing, and spelling problems.
We help direct students with other learning issues to other educational resources when we are not the appropriate placement. Screenings can help with decisions about requests for evaluations from the public school. We can provide support in 504 or ARD meetings as experienced professional educators.
